Update

Things have been crazy over these past few days. Both mom and baby are doing well. They will probably release Jen on Thursday.

Claire is on some caffeine to help her regulate her heart beat a little better and that has been really effective for her. She is a little jaundiced so they have the light out to help break up bilirubin in her system. She has lost a bit of weight, but they say that is normal. The fluid that was in her lungs seems to be almost completely gone, and her O2 sat has been good so they are no longer worried about that. She is breathing on her own and does a pretty good job of holding her own temp (although she is still in the incubator to reduce the energy she burns to do that.) They have finally let us hold her for short amounts of time and she does really well with that.

So just how cold was it?

So we had snow here for the first time in a long time, but that doesn't really show how cold it was here. I saw a bird flying in our front yard when it froze to death mid flight.

Snow Day Part II

Snow Day Video

Snow

YES! You read that title right, it snowed in San Antonio, Texas! Malcolm and his Daddy headed out to play in it. I have the worst cold, and being pregnant, decided to stay inside and watch from the window. Malcolm cried when he had to come inside. He loved it!

Park

Malcolm loves to play basketball. Of course not with me, with his Dad! Could it be his dad is 6ft5 and actually played basketball in school?! He is so cute trying to dribble a ball that is almost as big as he is. He loves to swing and play outside. Malcolm, mommy and daddy love you and are so proud of what a sweet boy you are.
